Success Story: Marlene Bishop

“I came to Canadian Business College in 2018 to take the Accounting and Payroll Administration Program. My goal was to acquire knowledge and then work for myself. After a career in Retail Management, Real Estate Administration, and Managing Fortune 500 Companies, I felt I had the skills required either operate my own business or work in the capacity to help others find their passion and dream. I met with an Academic Advisor who recommended the Business Management Program. This program opened my eyes to new and exciting topics and gave a new perspective in business that I could not have learned on the job. At 46 years old, going back to school felt overwhelming and challenging after being out of school for so many years. Canadian Business College became my home away from home. The instructors and management made me feel like family. They invested one-on-one time with me when I needed it, and encouraged me when I felt like giving up. I am proud to say that I graduated with Honors. I now work as the Financial Aid Officer at Canadian Business College’s downtown Toronto Campus. Thank you CBC for making my dreams come true!”
