Canadian Business College’s Early Childhood Assistant program prepares you to play a vital and rewarding role in in the cognitive, physical and social development of young children. This program is available at our Mississauga and North York campuses and is delivered through a hybrid learning system, a combination of online classes, in-class exams and on-campus labs.
You will develop a strong knowledge of prenatal, infant, toddler and preschool development and participate in field-related practicum placements. These practicums give you the opportunity apply your skills and training in a real-world childcare environment and gain valuable experience, confidence and insight. Our curriculum also includes exceptional instruction in the role and responsibilities of an early childcare assistant, health and safety, written communication skills, curriculum planning and nutrition.
Upon graduation, you can pursue career opportunities in in kindergartens, childcare centres, community centres, after-school programs, religious organizations and more.
What is hybrid learning?
Hybrid learning includes a combination of online classes, in-class exams that must be taken in person and onsite labs where your physical presence is required for hands-on training. It is only offered at our Mississauga and North York campuses to students who are able to be on campus for the required portions of the program.
